Salary: £45,718.00 to £49,764.00 per year

Community Safety & Safeguarding Manager – Permanent

This is a rare and exciting development opportunity for a Community Safety Professional to take on the management and leadership of the Community Safety/ASB Team. We are looking for a self-motivated, confident and enthusiastic individual seeking a challenging role to be a part of and work with key agencies within the Bassetlaw, Newark & Sherwood Community Safety Partnership (CSP).

The post holder will play a key role working with partners to prevent and respond to community safety issues at both an operational and strategic level. The post holder will need to have a sound knowledge and practical experience of the relevant legislation across the wider community safety remit, to tackle crime and disorder threats through the development and implementation of strategies and action plans. A solid understanding of the issues around Safeguarding are also required.

Applicants should have experience of developing and delivering effective interventions through use of best practice and creative problem-solving in partnership with key stakeholders and the community itself. You should be an effective decision-maker and a strong influencer with an understanding of how partner agencies can contribute to delivering community safety outcomes.

The post holder will have strong communication skills with the ability to deal confidently and effectively with the public, elected members, and other partner agencies.
