Communications and Engagement Officer

Salary: Salary: £29,925 – £31,460 (Grade 7)
Location: Beeston, Nottinghamshire – This is a hybrid role however there is an expectation to go out to events as and when needed on a monthly basis.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, people person to work with us to listen, communicate and engage with local residents, businesses, community organisations and other stakeholders.

 

You’ll need great verbal and written communications skills to build relationships with the local community and encourage them to engage with the Council on a range of projects and issues including environment and climate change, health, business growth, community safety and housing.

 

Working with other members of the Communications Team, you’ll work across a wide range of communications channels, leading on consultations and face to face events across the Borough and supporting a range of other events organised by the Council.

 

You should have appropriate marketing or communications qualifications e.g. degree, CIPR or CIM or relevant experience.

 

We’re looking for an individual who has experience in:

  • Writing content for a range of channels including press releases, publications e-newsletters and web content.
  • Delivering targeted marketing campaigns to budget.
  • Utilising social media channels.
  • Analysing and evaluating campaign insights.
  • Building relationships with a variety of stakeholders.

 

The ideal candidate would:
