We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable person to join our Exchequer team to administer the Council’s creditor payment system
The duties of the post include day to day responsibilty for the adminstration of the Council’s creditor system and processing weekly payment runs in accordance with the agreed timetable. The post holder will also take an active role in other services provided by the section including payroll, sundry debtors and taking payments over the telephone from customers. Full training will be provided.
Applicants need to have good communication and numeracy skills and be able to work to a high degree of accuracy. The ability to work under pressure both on your own and as part of a busy team is essential.
This post requires the use of many of the Council’s computerised systems so excellent IT skills are essential.
The successful candidate will have a sound basic education, including Maths and English at GCSE Grade C or 4 and above (or equivalent).
