Senior Technician – Asset Management

The Asset Strategy team are implementing a new Highways Asset Management System, Alloy by Causeway, a new Customer Relationship Management System, Granicus Firmstep and a Case Management System (HALO).

The position provides an exciting opportunity to develop how all highway assets are managed in the future, as part of the authorities “New Derbyshire Highways Programme” and how all highway enquiries are managed and processed.

You will be joining a team of enterprising and innovative thinking technicians and engineers that support the highway service delivery and a manager who is supportive and keen to facilitate your development. 

What will I be doing?

  • Building, maintaining and developing the new Single Asset Management System
  • Maintaining and developing the local street gazetteer
  • Analysing data and providing technical support in the development maintenance of the capture, update, management, manipulation and report of data to support asset management
  • Contributing to the building and maintenance of the customer forms and processes within the Council Relationship Management system

What skills and experience do I need to have?

  • Skills and experience in relation to geographical information systems/asset management systems/customer relationship management systems, or have transferrable skills relating to the use of IT systems and their development.

You will work closely with other Services within the Highways Division to continually develop service improvement and efficiencies whilst embracing new technologies and best working practices.

Our Asset Strategy team is contractually based in Matlock, Derbyshire, but we offer hybrid working options which will be to subject service needs, there’ll be an opportunity to discuss working arrangements for this position at interview.
