We are seeking to appoint two Teaching and Learning Assistants to join our supportive team. You will work with a range of children who have additional needs. It is essential that candidates have a good general education, are literate and numerate and are able to communicate well orally and in writing. Successful candidates are required to hold a Teaching and Learning Assistants Level 2 qualification or above. The position will initially be until the end of August 2026, however is likely to be extended due to projected pupil numbers and funding. The start date is September 2025 or sooner if available.
We are looking for a member of staff who is well organised, enjoys working with children, who is able to challenge, motivate and care for each pupil as an individual and foster independence. Good communication skills and the ability to work flexibly as part of a team are essential for this role. Experience of working with children with ASD and ADHD is desirable, as is experience of working with parents. As a junior school we also value staff who have KS1 or Special School experience, although not essential.
